In order to ensure the normal operation of the reducer, in addition to paying sufficient attention to the structural design of the gear, shaft, bearing combination, and box body, it is also necessary to consider the reasonable selection and design of auxiliary parts and components such as oil injection, oil discharge, oil level inspection, precise positioning of the box cover and box seat during processing, disassembly, and maintenance, and lifting.
1) The inspection hole is used to check the engagement of transmission parts and inject lubricating oil into the box. Inspection holes should be set up at appropriate positions in the box. The inspection hole is set on the top of the upper box cover to directly observe the gear engagement position. Normally, the cover plate of the inspection hole is fixed to the box cover with screws.
2) When the ventilator reducer is working, the temperature inside the box increases, the gas expands, and the pressure increases. In order to allow the thermal expansion air in the box to be freely discharged, maintain the balance of pressure inside and outside the box, and prevent lubricating oil from leaking along other gaps such as the box surface or shaft extension seals, a ventilator is usually installed at the top of the box.
3) The bearing cover is used to fix the axial position of the shaft system components and withstand axial loads. Both ends of the bearing seat holes are closed with bearing covers. There are two types of bearing caps: flanged and embedded. Fix it on the box using hexagonal bolts, and the bearing cover at the extended shaft is a through hole, which is equipped with a sealing device. The advantage of flanged bearing covers is that they are easy to disassemble and adjust bearings, but compared to embedded bearing covers, they have a larger number of parts, larger dimensions, and an uneven appearance.
